S/S 1995 Gianni Versace Couture Corset & Skirt – Shrimpton Couture

This overtly sexy corset and skirt are from the heady Gianni designed days of Versace Couture & the era of the supermodels. It is done in a bright almost neon yellow and comprises of two pieces - a fitted corset, a design upon which the house of Versace seems built upon, and a long fluid skirt. The skirt is made of a nylon jersey and is very light. It is gathered on one side so you get a mile of leg showing. Just above the zipper there is a corseted closure made of grommets and a tie that threads through and allows you to wear it lose and open so it drops down on the hop or cinch it tighter so it sits higher on the waits. The corset zips at the side to close and is entirely boned, structured

It has light padding so the breasts are pushed up and a corset detail sits at the center front. You can cinch it in tighter with the full corset detail that runs down the back. This is pure unadulterated Versace. Excellent condition The corset is fully finished inside and boned and shaped. Hand sewn padding at the breast area and the straps are also hand sewn into place. It closes with a side painted metal and nylon zipper. The skirt is unlined and slip son with a side zipper and lacing above that. The Versace logo studded grommets and metal links show minor wear throughout but this is natural aging and should not be considered a flaw. The corset is tagged a vintage Versace 42, the skirt a 38. It is slightly brighter yellow in person then how it photoed. In the video below you can see this outfit on the runway at about the 3:30 mark!
