Schlieper knife / Eye Brand - Rare Schlieper men's knife with blades from the 1960s Old Schlieper knife which was produced in the 1960s. At the time, Solingen produced tons of blades and installed them in various exercise trays. Much was exported to the USA where companies in Solingen had taken over the production. At the end of the 1960s there was a change and many blades that had already been produced disappeared into the warehouse. One of the most famous brand is Schlieper Solingen or known in the USA as "Eye brand". In the 1990s, new stamps were produced for these knives and the old blades were used. So a piece of Solingen history was brought back. The rights to the "Schlieper" brand went to the Solingen company Olbertz.
